Cynthia (she/her) was born and raised in Puebla City, Mexico, and relocated to the United States in February 2024. She is deeply proud of her Mexican heritage and is an advocate for cultural diversity within the community.

Cynthia’s passion for psychology and mental health began at the age of 12, when she decided to pursue a career as a mental health therapist. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology in Puebla, Mexico, and went on to complete a master's degree in clinical and health psychology in Chiapas, Mexico. For several years, she ran her own practice in Mexico, providing mental health services to individuals with neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, grief, and those from the LGBTQ+ community.

In adulthood, Cynthia was diagnosed with ADHD, which helped her better understand and embrace her own challenges with neurodivergence, anxiety, and depression. She utilizes a judgment-free, compassionate, and humanistic approach to help her clients achieve their goals, cultivate self-care, and build self-esteem. Please note that although Cynthia’s background is as a therapist in Mexico, due to licensing requirements in the U.S. she works with Facilitate Joy! as a coach.

In her free time, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her two cats, Frankie and Parker, who are her beloved co-therapists. She also finds fulfillment in taking care of her home and indulging in various forms of art, which helps her express creativity and unwind.
